We contacted Bates to handle our move because we had heard good things about the company. We are so happy we did. They arrived to pickup our household items on time and the driver was very helpful and professional. Once loaded they stored our items for us as our new house wasn’t ready. When we closed we again contacted Bates to deliver our stuff. Again, they arrived on time with a crew of folks to unload and place our items where we wanted them. They were very patient with us as my wife changed her mind a couple of times. All in all, a great experience. I highly recommend you talk to them. Ask for Jenny, she is our favorite employee and helped us with a lot of information.

United agent Bates Moving in Salisbury, Maryland did a fantastic job for our inter-state move from Maryland’s Eastern Shore to southeast Virginia. The preplanning, estimating, delivery of packing supplies all went smoothly, as did the actual Moving Days. Our full house required two vans and Bates went out of their way with staff re-scheduling and overtime to provide drivers and helpers to make sure we were out of one and into our new house on schedule. Highly recommend Bates!

Bates Moving is incredible.  They moved my elderly parents from their home in Ocean Pines to assisted living in Philadelphia.  This was not a straight forward move as some items were staying in their home and others were being moved to assisted living.  Donna in the office and with whom I shared numerous emails and phone conversations, was very personable and efficient.  I felt very reassured that Bates would make sure that everything went smoothly for my parents and it did.  On move-In day at assisted living, the personnel loading the items into their apartment were very helpful in positioning furniture, even to the point of locating a bed so so that vents would not be blowing down on my elderly mother.

The office staff is extremely friendly and everything was performed fast and timely. Two guys loaded a two-bedroom place in about an hour and unloaded at the new place in the same amount of time. Rates are a little high, the movers are a bit impersonal, and your email address is used for spam. However, nothing broke and everything went smoothly!

Bates accepted and stored online furniture purchases for my new out of town condo for 6 months. They kept me informed with each receipt, and rejected goods that arrived damaged. They delivered the furniture within a week of my request when the place was finally ready. I couldn’t have asked for a better system.

Absolutely the best decision I ever made with this move. They were highly recommended to me and I can see why. Bates did an outstanding and quick job packing us for a United Van Lines move from Maryland to California. Nothing was lost or broken. Only quibble was that maybe they were TOO careful, wrapping metal cookie sheets in several pieces of paper.
